Americas Got Talent Winner: America's Got Talent winner Neal E Boyd has decided to run for world office. The opera singer said that he plans to run for the Missouri House of Representatives as a democratic in the 2012 election. Boyd, who's already formed an exploratory committee, told The Southeast Missourian that his interest in politics comes as no surprise to his friends and family. It's forever been my intention to be a candidate. The greatest joke in my family was that I have been running for governor since I was five years old. Well, it used to be a joke," Boyd quipped. Boyd will be challenged by Holly Rehder in the Aug 2012 Republican primary. A Democratic challenger has not been determined yet. The Missouri nation seat is being vacated by Republican Ellen Brandom, who can't run again due to term limits. Boyd triumphed on America's Got Talent in 2008 and went on to headline his own Las Vegas stage show.
