Luther Vandross would have been sixty years old nowadays.  At the age of fifty-four, Vandross reportedly died in New Jersey of a reason heart attack.  This euphony icon sold over twenty-five million record albums throughout his life history and won 8 Grammy prizes, admitting finest Male R&B Vocal Performance four times.  He was also ranged fifty-four on Rolling Stone Magazine’s List of hundred biggest Singers ever. Vandross was born April 20, 1951 in New York State and grew up in the Bronx.  He began babbling back-up for the wishes of Diana Ross, Carly Simon, Chaka Khan, Donna Summer, Bette Midler and Barbara Streisand and it was not until 1980, when Vandross was twenty-nine years old that he would take centre stage while singing with the band, “convert.” Vandross’ life history was affected as early as 2003 when he suffered stroke.  He had just complete his record album, “dancing With My Father” which became his only record album to make 1 and in 2004, he hit it big winning 4 Grammy prizes admitting Song dynasty of the Year for the same track “Dance with My Father”, co-written by Richard Marx. Whether in observance of Luther Vandross’ sixtieth or not, CBS is told to have reinstated Vandross’ edition of NCAA tourney anthem, “One Shining Moment” in change for Jennifer Hudson’s debut final year. On March 30th, United States Today describes, “Harold Bryant, CBS Sports’ vice president for production, said Tuesday that network executives elected to go back to the Vandross edition, which was used for 7 years earlier CBS rolled out a Modern version by Jennifer Hudson in 2010. ‘Both versions are large. She “Hudson” did a big job,’ Bryant said. ‘We just felt wish we desired to go back to Luther.’Luther Vandross
